The Beech Beechjet is a small corporate jet with a twin-engine design. Raytheon Beech Aircraft Company designed it beginning in the 1980s. The Beechjet was originally designed to be an all jet development built around the Mitsubishi MU-2, and designated to be a top of the line corporate aircraft sales model under the name of the Mitsubishi Diamond. Raytheon Beech Aircraft Company bought the rights of production of the MU-300 Diamond and manufactured it as the Beechjet 400. This Beechjet's FAA certification was finalized in May of 1985. As time passed, Beechcraft company improved the Beechjet 400 creating a newer Beechjet known as the 400A. The 400A standard equipment included better luxury appointments, a higher payload, and new longer range tanks with better performance. For the first time, an all glass cockpit flight deck was offered. This was a great improvement for flight decks of the time. Soon thereafter, the Beechjet 400 was renamed the Hawker 400 and incorporated into the Hawker Aircraft for sale line. The new Hawker 400XP is an improved more technologically advanced jet, using both the original Beech 400 and the Hawker 800XP designs. Among jets for sale, used Hawker 400XP and Beechjets for sale rank among the top picks. Check out all the used Beechjet for sale at any of the Flying Online websites.
