The Raytheon Hawker 800 began as the British Aerospace BAE125. It is now the world's bestselling mid-sized corporate jet. The original Hawker was the 1976 BAE
125-700.The 700 is powered by two Garrett TFE-731-3RH turbofans.
In 1984, the 700 was improved and renamed Hawker 800. The Hawker 800 is a mid-sized twin engine business jet originally designed and built by British Aerospace under the name BAE125 before British Aerospace was bought by Raytheon Aircraft in 1993.
Raytheon then renamed the plane Hawker 800. The 800 was the first business jet to use an EFIS cockpit and is now offered with the Collins Pro Line 21 avionics suite. Two versions of Hawker 800 were created: 800A was designed for the U.S. market; the 800B was designed for non-U.S. markets.
Both the 700 and the 800 are piloted by a crew of two and can accommodate up to 14 passengers. In 1995 an extended performance version with better climb and cruise speeds was introduced as the 800XP.
In 2006, a new Hawker called the Hawker 850 XP began production. The 850 XP features an improved range of 100 nautical miles by using winglets. The 850 XP also features upgraded avionics and a new interior.
Improved versions of the Hawker were created in 2006 for future production. The future Hawker 750 will contain an externally accessed baggage pannier that will replace the ventral fuel tank which will cause a slightly reduced range. The future Hawker 900 XP will feature a longer range by using new Honeywell TFE731-50BR engines.
Finding used Hawker 400 for sale depends on what you desire in a jet for sale due to the variations. Using a reliable domestic broker versed in aircraft sales can be invaluable.
