The Beechcraft Musketeer Sport came to life between 1966 and 1979. But a total of only 922 Beechcraft Musketeer Sports were built as aircraft for sale. The Sport is a lower powered, trainer version of the original Musketeer 23. Beechcraft produced the Musketeer line from 1963 to 1983. It was a line of single-engine, low-wing, light aircrafts, which included the Beechcraft Musketeer Sport, the Beechcraft Musketeer, the Beechcraft Sundowner, and the Beechcraft Musketeer Sierra. The Musketeer line seats four, with the Musketeer Super version capable of seating an additional two children. When equipped properly, some of the Beechcraft Musketeer line models are approved for aerobatics. The key difference between the Beechcraft Musketeer line and other similar light airplanes is the Musketeer's undercarriage uses a trailing idler link gear system with a compressed rubber puck suspension system. This gives the Beechcraft Musketeer line airplanes noticeably different landing characteristics compared to the competition: without the proper idler links, often competitive light touchdowns are accompanied by skipping and producing a less-graceful than anticipated landing. As with any unit offered for aircraft sales, with practice smooth landings are easy to accomplish. With only 922 existing, used Beechcraft Sport for sale or used Beechcraft Musketeer for sale make them a unit to seek through selected brokers who know the ins and outs and hidden corners of aircraft sales.
