The Cessna Citation X750 is the largest, fastest and longest-range business jet for sale in the world. The Citation X is the fastest civilian aircraft you can own in this aircraft sales class. The Citation X is powered by two Rolls-Royce/Allison AE 3007A turbofan engines to give it a top speed of 700 miles per hour. The Citation has a cruising speed of 504 knots and a range of 3250 nautical miles.
This increase in speed means the Citation X will save up to one hour flight time on transcontinental U.S. flights compared to other business jets. The Citation X also burns less fuel than other corporate jets on identical flights because of its ability to cruise on high speed at high altitude.
In 1990 Cessna announced it would develop a completely new design of the Citation that was not derived from its earlier Citation models. Cessna had planned on starting production of the X in 1995 but a series of FAA certification delays postponed production of Citation X until 1996. In 1998 the Citation X was approved by Transport Canada and by the European Joint Aviation Authorities the following year.
First Citation X owner, golfer Arnold Palmer, set a speed record in 1997 of 473 knots on a 5,000 km closed air course. This same year the Citation X design team received the National Aeronautic Association's Robert J. Collier Trophy.
In 2002 Cessna added a 5% increase in thrust, a 400 lb increase in maximum take-off weight and improved Honeywell avionics to the Citation X. As of 1998 sixty Citation Xs had been built with Cessna's intention of building 24 per year.
A used Citation X for sale or used Cessna Citation 10 for sale usually come up on the aircraft for sale marketplace through a broker.
