In 1993 Cessna created a replacement for their Citation and Citation I called CitationJet 525. This CitationJet for sale is based on the original Citation. Differences include a new T-tail configuration and a supercritical laminar flow wing.
The CitationJet has a shorter fuselage than the previous Citations and an almost equal cabin height. The CitationJet is powered by Rolls Royce FJ44 turbofans with paddle thrust reversers which create a cruising speed of 380 knots and a range of 1485 nautical miles. The CitationJet aircraft for sale has a trailing link main undercarriage and allows single pilot operation.
The CitationJet improvements in 2000 by Cessna aircraft sales included addition of the Collins Pro Line 21 EFIS avionics and increased maximum takeoff weight, which led to the revamped craft called the CJ1. Another improvement led to installing FADEC, which engines be controlled by computer rather than mechanical controls. This created the CJ1+.
A second larger and faster version of the CitationJet was also produced in 2000, the CJ2. Its power comes from two RollsRoyce FJ442C engines giving a cruising speed of 400 knots and a range of 1450 nautical miles. The CJ2 also features increased wing span, a larger tail area, and six cabin windows on each side. Like CJ1, the CJ2 is certified for single pilot operation.
These newer jet for sale improvements attracted renewed interest in used Citation Jet for sale, used Citation CJ1 for sale and used Citation CJ2 for sale via brokers.
