Dassault's Falcon 20 was this French firm's first jet business craft created for the aircraft for sale market. This jet for sale was designed and developed in the 1950's. Production started in 1965. It was built with two General Electric CF700 engines to produce a cruising speed of 466 knots and a range of 1780 nautical miles. Aerospatiale built the Falcon 20's tail and rear fuselage. Manufacturing ended in 1983, with a total of 476 constructed.
The improved Falcon 20 was re-launched and renamed the Falcon 200 in 1981. The updated Falcon 200 now flew powered by two more powerful Garrett ATF 3-6A-4C engines delivering a cruising speed of 470 knots and a much longer range, 2510 nautical miles.
Falcon 200 also featured redesigned wing root fairings along with system equipment changes. Production ended in 1988. A total of 38 existed for the aircraft for sale market.
Used Falcon 20 for sale and Falcon 200s for sale are limited as only 514 combined came off the production line for aircraft sales.
