Homebuilt aircraft for sale from Glasair Aviation based in Arlington, Washington rank popular among aircraft do-it-yourselfers. Tom Hamilton of Stoddard-Hamilton Aircraft designed the plane's concept in 1979. Then he created the first ever pre-modeled composite aircraft kit. This became the Glasair I model. The Glasair I was offered for aircraft sales in a retractable gear version, tricycle gear, and as a tail dragger. The aircraft was a side-by-side, two place, low wing aircraft. A few modifications were made with the Glasair II, including easier construction and higher performance. Later came the Glasair III, which is high performance and only available as a retractable gear. The Glasair III has a cruise speed of 313 mph. Other versions came out, including a high wing aircraft for versatility with the options of putting floats or skis on the aircraft. For the joy of it or recreation, the used Glasair 3 for sale or used Glasair III for sale serves a number of people looking for a great aircraft.
