The PA-31 Navajo is a twin-engine cargo and corporate use aircraft for sale designed by Piper Aircraft. The PA-31 enjoyed improvements through 8 different model variations, but the most well-known was the PA-31-350 Navajo Chieftain, which featured more powerful Lycoming engines and a stretched cabin of interest to aircraft sales.
The Chieftain featured two Lycoming TIO-540-J2BD 350 h.p. engines with controllable pitch Hartzell propellers. This combination allowed the PA-31-350 to reach speeds of 216 mph and an altitude of 24,000 feet.
